Ryan Vaught

During Ryan's four year tour of Military service in the United States Marine Corps, he learned how to instruct and lead, and led daily physical training for his Marines as a Non-Commissioned Officer for VMFA-312, Marine Air Group-31, 2nd Marine Air Wing, Hotel Company, School of Infantry at Camp Lejeune, NC, as well as 3rd Battalion, Lima Company, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Paris Island, SC. Ryan has held many leadership positions during his tour and served for nearly two years off and on aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71, in Bosnia, the Persian Gulf, and parts of Southwest Asia between 1991-1995. He has trained with Marine Corps Recon as well as Navy Seal units abroad, and has completed courses through the Marine Corps Institute in Leadership, Physical Training, Marksmanship, Weapons, and Military Tactics among others. Ryan has been awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, along with various other Certificates of Commendation for individual and unit Commanding Generals Inspections.
He brings over twenty-five years of experience in the health and fitness industry and a passion for helping others pursue and achieve their goals while effectively leading them to a healthy more fulfilling way of life. Ryan is motivating, enthusiastic, and energetic. He is sincere in his care and concern for helping those looking to make the change to a healthier and happier lifestyle. He is a leader and strives to create fun and challenging workouts for women of all ages and abilities, all sizes and shapes, and all levels. In addition to being the owner of Tri State Adventure Boot Camp, Ryan is also the Co-Founder/Co-Owner/Retreat Instructor of Fat Camp Retreats, LLC, along with Kristi Reed the Tri State ABC Instructor for Harrison Adventure Boot Camp. Ryan is also an accomplished Certified Personal Trainer with thousands of hours of training sessions to his credit and many successes and also works as a strength and conditioning coach for the Lakota West High School Varsity Boys Lacrosse team in West Chester, OH. In addition Ryan is a member of, and trains with the Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy of Cincinnati. His own passions in fitness are weight-lifting, running, and cycling.

Dr. John Spencer Ellis

He hosts The Fit Show, PersonalTrainerTV.com, The OC Body and The Spencer Power Hour radio show. John is the Master of Ceremonies for the Ms. Fitness U.S.A and World pageants. He stars in the workout DVDs Playground Boot Camp & Kung-Fu Fitness , created fitness programs used by Cirque du Soleil and the U.S. Secret Service, and consults the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships). John was recently nominated for induction to the Fitness Hall of Fame.
John holds bachelors degrees in business and health science, an MBA, and a doctorate in education. He also completed doctoral level studies in naturopathy. He has fifteen certifications including massage therapy, plyometrics, self-defense, fitness kick boxing, fitness boxing, water fitness, exercise rehabilitation, golf conditioning, Pilates, personal training, clinical hypnotherapy, sports hypnosis, PACE circuit training and yoga. He holds a 2nd degree black belt in kung-fu, has completed the Ironman triathlon, and finished 5th at the U.S. National Biathlon Championships. His medical training includes a license in radiological technology, a medical assisting certification, and training in McKenzie rehabilitation. John was nominated for the California Community College Distinguished Alumni Award.

Kelli Calabrese

Kelli Calabrese, MS, CSCS is the 2007 Denton County Personal Trainer of the Year and 2004 Personal Trainer of the Year as voted by Personal Fitness Professional Magazine. Kelli is an international presenter, author, personal trainer, lifestyle coach, spokesperson, women's fitness expert and 21 year wellness professional. Kelli is the Editor of Personal Fitness Professional and Wellness & Fitness Entrepreneur magazines. She is the Author of Feminine, Firm & Fit – Building A Lean Strong Body in 12 Weeks. She was the lead fitness expert for eDiets and eFitness from 2000 – 2003 and remains a guest columnist.
At the age of 22 Kelli had completed 3 Science degrees including an Associates in Biology, Bachelors with High Honors in Exercise Physiology and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Since 1986, Kelli has acquired 23 fitness, nutrition, weight management and lifestyle consulting certifications. For 14 years she co-owned and operated a chain of 4 fitness centers (Excellence in Exercise) and managed 4 corporate centers with clients such as Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Nabisco and Beneficial Insurance. In 1991 Calabrese opened Xercise Institute, the first school for preparing candidates for the American Council on Exercise's Personal Training exams.
In 2000, Kelli began Calabrese Fitness Consulting LLC which focuses on reaching both trainers and consumers with her passion for fitness and wellness. She helps trainers grow prosperous careers through the, personal consultations, writing, editing, audio programs and at industry conferences. She reaches consumers through online training , phone coaching , magazines, TV, radio, audio programs , group training, books, Adventure Boot Camp , ipod workouts and live seminars.
